ABOUT LE CROS
Le Cros was acquired by the Skipwith family in 1989 and has been lovingly transformed into a well-appointed five bedroom country home. Sleeping ten, it is perfect for families or groups of friends looking for a peaceful retreat in the heart of the Entre Deux Mers region of southwest France.
Set in an acre of garden surrounded by uninterrupted views over the vineyards, it sits quietly in an unassuming enclave of rich history where the foot of the garden meets the medieval site of La Commanderie de Sallebruneau, a protected historical monument founded in 1214 by the Knights Templar.
THE ROOMS
The decor and amenities of Le Cros embrace the authenticity of its Girondine setting with many original features of the house preserved. Each of the five bedrooms, named after celebrated wine appelations of the region, have been decorated to create a warm and welcoming sense of home with a comforting blend of the owners' Anglo-French heritage while maintaining unique character from one to the next.

It should be noted that the house retains many original features including low beams and ceilings in some of the upstairs areas. While for many this lends charm, we recognise that some of the bedrooms may not be ideally suited to those with mobility challenges.
